Mission Statement
Our mission is to improve educational outcomes and encourage a love of learning for students in underserved communities by providing free 1:1 tutoring, tailored to cultivate each student’s individual academic, social and emotional growth as well as their artistic and intellectual interests.
Why Donate to Good Tutors?
Why – Nearly 500,000 children in Los Angeles are in a life-altering academic crisis due to Covid 19 learning loss with Black, Latino and economically disadvantaged students suffering the worst, with more than 60% not meeting English standards and 80% not meeting math standards.
How – We provide free virtual tutoring to underserved students in Los Angeles, encourage a love of learning by cultivating each student’s individual academic, social and emotional growth as well as their artistic and intellectual interests.
Evidence – Our program is improving outcomes and creating confident learners
to more than 650+ underserved elementary, middle school and high school students in nearly 370 of LAUSD’s 1,000 schools.
Goal – We need to raise $250,000 to triple our capacity and reach up to 2,000 K-12 underserved students in 2022.
