Mission Statement
The mission of Enders Island is to proclaim in word and deed the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the light of the Catholic faith. A Catholic Retreat Ministry that provides three principal activities: Recovery, Sacred Art and Spiritual Retreats. Each year, thousands of people of all faiths are welcomed to participate in programs of spiritual renewal and recovery.

Enders Island is an 11-acre island off the coast of Mystic, Connecticut where men and women from all walks of life come to experience renewal, healing and inspiration. The site of St. Edmund’s Retreat, it is dedicated to the work of spiritual care, recovery from addiction, and education in the sacred arts. People of all faith backgrounds – including those without faith – are welcome here.
The mission and the ministry of Enders Island is entrusted to St. Edmund’s Retreat, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit religious organization that provides public services open to all on equal terms. 100% of your donation goes toward our ongoing and growing ministries of recovery from addiction, spiritual renewal, and sacred arts.
