Mission Statement
The sad reality of our world is that every one of us has been touched in some way, shape, or form by a chronic or age-related disease and has had a front-row seat to witness the destructive aftermath on ourselves, loved ones, and communities. Whether it be cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer’s, or another ailment, we can all find connective tissue to this struggle. The damage brought about by these diseases is not limited to physical vitality — the mental and emotional strains carried by those afflicted and those close to them are unquantifiable. Our work drives the world to a future where these weights are lifted from our lives — will you join our fight?
Joshua Herring, our President & CEO, shares why this work means so much to him: As a child, my mother and father were both diagnosed with cancers. The reason why I am fortunate enough to be able to spend time with both of them today is because researchers and doctors dedicated themselves to understanding how to fight diseases. Fighting to allow more peoples’ stories to have happy endings like mine is one of the biggest gifts I can give.
