Every day, communities around the world go without clean water. With one in ten people lacking access to safe water, the urgency is clear. The #TeamWater campaign addressed this crisis head-on, demonstrating that strategic fundraising, especially with crypto, can unlock powerful results.
A Transformative Wave of Crypto Giving
Crypto donors played an instrumental role in the success of #TeamWater, accounting for nearly 25 percent of total funds raised. In total, crypto donations across more than 20 cryptocurrencies added up to $9,839,436.57 in support.

The momentum behind #TeamWater reached new heights during an 18-hour livestream on Kick, featuring MrBeast, Adin Ross, and xQc. What started as a $5 million goal turned into a history-making effort that raised $12 million in one stream. The event now holds the record for the most money ever raised in a single livestream.
This success drove even more visibility and momentum for the overall campaign, introducing countless new supporters to WaterAid’s mission.

Looking Ahead: What These Funds Will Make Possible
