Mission Statement
The EarthLight Foundation dares to go beyond the “what” and “how” of space development—seeking the deeper why.
We believe humanity’s expansion into space must be guided by Purpose. Not just profits, politics, or prestige—but a calling that transcends them all. EarthLight is built on three core Principles of Purpose:
• Protect and expand the domain of life
• Honor and evolve human civilization
• Explore and experience the universe
EarthLighters are dreamers and doers who believe our destiny lies beyond the MotherWorld. Some of us have flown into space. Some are building the rockets. Others simply carry the dream in their hearts.
We are artists, astronauts, engineers, teachers, entrepreneurs, and activists.
We do not look left or right—our focus is UP.
You don’t have to “join” EarthLight to be one of us. If you share our vision and carry these principles into whatever you do, you’re already part of the Tribe.
Humanity has made mistakes here on Earth. We believe space gives us the chance to try again—to build a future that is more just, more beautiful, and more alive.
We don’t take it from anyone. We give it to everyone.

Why Donate to EARTHLIGHT FOUNDATION INC?
What is SPACE4?
SPACE4 is a charitable support program within the EarthLight Foundation. Its preliminary role will be as a framework for topics and structure, allowing ELF and donors/volunteers to focus on various areas aligned with the ELF mission.
SPACE4 is not intended to design or manage projects and programs itself, but rather to leverage those that already exist. This means SPACE4 doesn’t itself need staff, infrastructure, etc., beyond supportive work by the ELF and our marketing/fundraising partners – and the existing networks, organizations, and leaders already in place, already doing great work, and in need of much greater support.
SPACE4 Life → Protecting & expanding the domain of life (ELF Principle One).
Supporting programs and projects involving protecting and expanding the domain of life.
SPACE4 Learning → Expanding knowledge & education (ELF Principles Two & Three).
Supporting programs and projects to expand our knowledge of the Frontier and encourage space/science education.
SPACE4 Love → Inclusion & democratization of space (ELF Principle Two).
Supporting programs, projects, and conversations about inclusion and democratization of space. Additionally, demonstrating how human space activities can model behaviors required on Earth.
SPACE4 You → Changing how humanity relates to space (the ELF mission itself).
Supporting programs, projects, and conversations that change the relationship between people and space.
In many ways, SPACE4 is designed to highlight, contextualize, and support Good Work already occurring that supports the ELF Mission.
(Note – These aren’t just slogans—they’re donor on-ramps. Donors (someone like Isaacman) can pick which pillar resonates most with their personal giving ethos.
HOW ARE DONATIONS USED?
We prioritize direct program impact. On average, about 75% of each designated gift supports program delivery—equipment and learning tools, educator support, student activities, and community events. About 25% supports essential operations that make those programs possible (staffing, compliance, insurance, accounting/audit, technology and cybersecurity, facilities, communications, donor services, and fundraising). Percentages are annual targets and may vary modestly by project and timing. General-purpose donations also support those essential operations.
HOW SHOULD I DESIGNATE MY GIFT?
You may select:
• General Donation (default),
• DreamScopes (U.S. middle-school telescope initiative), or
• Space4 Ukraine (education & workforce readiness initiative).
Designated gifts will be used for the selected purpose to the fullest extent allowed by law. If a designation becomes temporarily paused, oversubscribed, or impracticable, we will (1) offer to hold your gift for that program, or (2) work with you to redirect it to a closely related purpose. If we are unable to reach you after reasonable efforts, we may apply your gift to the most closely aligned program need to honor your intent.
WHERE DOES SPACE4 UKRAINE FIT INTO EARTHLIGHT’S MISSION AND PRINCIPLES OF PURPOSE?
Space4 Ukraine is part of our education and workforce mission. Ukraine’s space legacy runs deep; its engineers, designers, and makers helped build a proud tradition of exploration. When the war ends—and it will—a new generation will rise. Your gift ensures they rise with tools, mentors, and a dream big enough to rebuild: opening space. As conditions allow and with local partners, this initiative supports space-related learning and pathways for Ukrainian students and young adults. Programming, timelines, and delivery methods may evolve; restricted gifts marked “Space4 Ukraine” will be applied within that initiative or, with your consent, to closely related educational activities.
WHAT IF I CARE MOST ABOUT SUPPORTING STUDENTS IN THE UNITED STATES?
That’s exactly what DreamScopes is for. DreamScopes is our U.S.-based effort to expand access to astronomy and STEAM by placing telescopes and learning resources in middle-school communities. The project is currently operating selectively and may scale as funding and partner readiness align. Gifts designated “DreamScopes” will be reserved for U.S. DreamScopes uses (placements, educator materials, support, or pilot activities). If deployment would be materially delayed, we will contact you with options to hold or redirect.
WHY DOES ANY PORTION SUPPORT “OPERATIONS”?
“Operations” is the backbone that keeps programs effective, safe, compliant, and ensures that the EarthLight Foundation can continue supporting these projects and growing the community through events, webinars, and engagement. Investing about 25% in mission support helps us deliver the other ~75% with quality and scale.
WILL I RECEIVE A RECEIPT? HOW CAN I GET UPDATES?
Yes. EarthLight Foundation is a U.S. nonprofit; donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law. You’ll receive an email receipt from The Giving Block for your records. We share periodic impact updates through our email distribution list, and designated-program donors may receive additional progress notes when available.
