Eye to Eye
Mission Statement
Eye to Eye envisions a world where every person with a learning difference is seen, heard, and valued for their abilities as different learners. Their mission is to improve the educational experiences and life outcomes for every young person who learns differently, including those with specific learning disabilities (LD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), or similar challenges related to learning. They work in public and charter schools across the country, providing near-peer mentoring, professional learning for educators, and student-led clubs, working with middle, high school, and college students as well as the educators who support them.
Why Donate to Eye to Eye?
Eye to Eye is a $4M, philanthropically-funded organization, led by and for people who learn differently. They are working to both raise awareness of this important work and change the educational experience for young people who learn differently today. They seek to connect students who learn differently in community with their peers, improve their social and emotional outcomes, and inspire young people to advocate for what they need in the classroom and beyond. Each of the programs center on the lived experience of students who learn differently, rooted in evidence-based interventions. They are based in New York, serve students directly in 22 states across the country, and are reaching 56,000 students through their direct and indirect programming this year.
