Family Promise Montco PA helps families achieve self-sufficiency through community-based programs designed to bridge homelessness and independence.
Why Donate to Family Promise Montco PA?
Hundreds of people in Montgomery County, just outside Philadelphia, are without homes. Eight percent of children don’t get enough to eat.
For more than 30 years Family Promise Montco PA has been there to help children and families in crisis. Our food pantry serves between two and three thousand people each year;our housing programs help families on all stages of the journey from homelessness to independence—from emergency shelter to longer term transitional and supportive housing programs. And families don’t just get a place to stay—they get comprehensive support that gives them the tools they need to become self-sufficient.
What makes us different? One word: Community. We partner with religious congregations of all faiths to provide shelter;hundreds of volunteers each year of all faiths—and of no faith—staff our pantry and help at our facilities. We promote community among the families who live with us, too, so that they can lift themselves and each other up.
We’ve helped hundreds of families find permanent homes and thousands to get the food they need. We hope you’ll join us!
