Mission Statement
Feeding Pets of the Homeless® believes in the healing power of companion pets and of the human/animal bond, which is very important in the lives of many homeless. They find solace, protection and companionship through their pets. They care for their pets on limited resources so they themselves have less. Our task, nationwide, is to feed and provide basic emergency veterinary care to their pets and thus relieve the anguish and anxiety of the homeless who cannot provide for their pets.
Why Donate to Feeding Pets of the Homeless ?
A pet's love is unconditional and non-judgmental. The bond between pets and people isn’t dependent on having a roof. We work to keep people and pets together through our five programs. Your donation goes to help fund these initiatives: -Emergency Veterinary Care -Pet Food -Wellness Clinics -Collapsible Crates to homeless shelters -Veteran Pet Support – A HUD-VASH partnership Our most expensive program is our Emergency Veterinary Care program. -$25 can help a pet get emergency veterinary care -$50 can cover a basic exam for emergency care -$100 can help a pet get stitches and medication -$200 can help with the cost of x-rays Your donation will go to help pets belonging to people experiencing homelessness. Their bond is so strong you could be helping save two lives at once.
