Mission Statement
Fisher House Foundation builds comfort homes at or near military and Department of Veterans Affairs medical centers. Families of wounded, ill, or injured veterans and service members can stay at no cost while their loved ones receive treatment away from home. There are 99+ Fisher Houses across the United States, including two in Germany and one in the UK.
This year, Fisher Houses are under construction at the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago; John L. McClellan Memorial Veteran’s Hospital in Little Rock, AR; and at the H. John Heinz III Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Pittsburgh, PA. Two more locations are being planned: the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Hospital in Montrose, NY, and the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center in West Palm Beach, FL.
