Mission Statement
Fisher House Foundation builds comfort homes near military and Department of Veterans Affairs medical centers. Families of wounded, ill, or injured veterans and service members can stay at no cost while their loved ones receive treatment away from home. There are 100 Fisher Houses across the United States, including two in Germany and one in the UK.
This year, construction continues in Montrose, NY, and will also begin at VA medical centers in West Palm Beach, FL; Madison, WI; and Pittsburgh, PA. In addition to building Fisher Houses, the Foundation provides airline tickets for military families who need to travel to their loved one’s bedside, as well as hotel lodging when a Fisher House is full.
