Mission Statement
Fondazione Umberto Veronesi is a non profit organization created in 2003 by Professor Umberto Veronesi, an oncologist MD who dedicated his whole life to the research and the cure of cancer patients.
We support scientific research in the oncological field and promote prevention campaigns, educating people and encouraging them to conduct a healthy lifestyle to preserve their health.
To carry out this challenge we involve citizens, medical doctors, researchers, patients, schools, companies and public authorities: each one of us has a role in this great change, therefore a shared commitment is necessary to build a future of good health.

Fondazione Umberto Veronesi raises funds to finance research projects that aim to find new cancer therapies that can be delivered to patients in shorter time and to identify new systems of early diagnosis for all types of cancer.
Our organization is a guarantee that all collected funds are employed in a transparent and independent manner, in support of the research to fight cancer: a research which is based on merits, innovative and patient oriented, in line with Umberto Veronesi’s view.
