Friends of Mercy Foundation
Mission Statement
Friends of Mercy Foundation is committed to supporting Mercy Hospital Bakersfield’s mission of providing compassionate and high quality health care to the communities it serves. Friends of Mercy Foundation does this through raising and administering philanthropic funds for our many worthy programs, services, and outreach activities in a manner consistent with our values and goals.
Why Donate to Friends of Mercy Foundation?
By supporting the Friends of Mercy Foundation, you will be continuing the legacy of the Sister’s of Mercy who founded Mercy Hospital in 1910. Your generous donation will help us meet the growing needs of our community in the hospital and beyond our walls. Our expanding Mercy Southwest campus will include the first cardiac catheterization lab west of Highway 99, providing a critical need in the county. We will be the first hospital to have private family suites for the tiniest babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. We will continue our commitment to oncology with the only inpatient cancer unit in Kern County.
The Friends of Mercy Foundation gratefully accepts gifts of all sizes as we believe that every dollar given provides us with an opportunity to help those with the greatest need. With the assistance of foundation staff, donors can focus on what is most important – making a difference with their charitable gift.
Your gift will fund where the need is greatest at the hospital and you should feel gratified knowing your donation will positively impact the entire community. If you have questions or would like to direct your gift to a specific fund, kindly contact Toni Harper, Chief Philanthropy Officer at [email protected]
