Mission Statement
The FSHD Global Research Foundation was established in 2007 to find treatments and a cure for one of the most common forms of muscular dystrophy, Facioscapulohumeral Dystrophy (FSHD), a highly complex, progressive muscle-wasting disease. It does not discriminate, affecting the lives of men, women, and children from all walks of life. We fund world-class medical research, diagnostics, awareness, and education. We are also committed to complete transparency and accountability in our operations.
We undertake a wide range of medical research focused on; slowing this disease, muscle wellness, and muscle technology. The aim of this research is not only to find a cure for FSHD, but to find ways that all people suffering from muscle weakness caused by neuromuscular disorders, muscle trauma and aging will benefit.Â
