Mission Statement
Grameen Foundation’s mission is to empower the poor, especially women, to create a world without poverty and hunger. We do this by designing human-centered digital platforms to help people in developing countries save for the future, invest in their businesses, and improve their farms, then we recruit and train local Community Agents, mostly women, to deliver these tools and educate neighbors in their villages. The result is a chain reaction of benefits, including increased incomes and food security, that help lift entire communities from poverty. To date, Grameen programs have reached nearly 15 million people, with the goal of reaching 25 million by 2025.
