Mission Statement
JDRF’s mission is to improve lives today and tomorrow by accelerating life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent, and treat type 1 diabetes (T1D) and its complications.. We accept all types of gifts, including those from individuals, corporations, foundations, and peer to peer fundraising events. We primarily receive gifts from US parties, but accept gifts from international sources as well.Â

Our strategy to accelerate life-changing breakthroughs includes research grants and much more. In addition to funding discovery and translational research grants, JDRF advances new therapies through equity investments, regulatory policy, and health care advocacy. People with T1D are living longer, healthier lives, with fewer complications because of our work. And we are closer than ever to developing cures.Â
