Mission Statement
The King County Library System Foundation promotes literacy, learning, and libraries by providing support beyond public funding for initiatives and resources that enable the King County Library System to better serve the needs of our community.
Why Donate to King County Library System Foundation?
The King County Library System (KCLS) Foundation provides support beyond public funding to KCLS. KCLS has 50 libraries plus a Service Center, Distribution Center, and Mobile Services that serve the 1.5 million residents of King County. In the 2,050 square mile service area there are 36 cities and 18 school districts with diverse needs.
We believe that technology has the power to change lives in our community and that technology, such as cryptocurrency donations, should be utilized to provide donors with another way to give (with tax benefits!) that enables them to enact their values. We are the first library foundation in the U.S. to accept cryptocurrency donations and we hope you’ll join us in this new area of philanthropy.
