Mission Statement
Our mission is to fund diagnostic and ongoing laboratory testing for rare diseases and chronic disorders for all people. We aim to reduce disparities in access to life saving tests.Â
Why Donate to Labs 4 Free?
Too many patients with rare diseases and chronic disorders end up in emergency rooms with advanced progression too late to save their lives. This is due in part to the high cost of the specialized tests which tell doctors what their patients have and enable them to prescribe treatments. But these diagnostic and on-going tests can run from $300 to $15,000 per patient per year. So many people forgo the tests, even those with insurance, as providers are not transparent about coverage, and copayment and deductibles can be prohibitively high.Â
