Mission Statement
L4GG is a community of 125,000 lawyers, law students, and activists fighting to ensure equal rights, equal opportunities and equal justice under the law.
We coordinate large-scale pro bono programs and issue advocacy efforts, seeking not only to establish and enforce equality under the law, but to also create the social and economic conditions that lead to true equity.Â

WHEN YOU DONATE TO LAWYERS FOR GOOD GOVERNMENT (L4GG), YOU ARE HELPING TO:
-Protecting Ukrainian Nationals in the US. L4GG launching a clinic to provide legal assistance in applying for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Ukrainian Nationals in the US. TPS is a form of immigration relief offered to foreign nationals in the United States whose home countries are considered unsafe, and provides the right to live and work in the United States for a temporary period. The clinic will (1) mobilize our community of lawyers, law firms, and in-house legal teams across the country; (2) train hundreds of pro bono attorneys nationwide; and (3) use our technology platform to run the program 100% remotely.
-Save Lives. Through Project Corazon, L4GG provides free legal assistance to thousands of asylum seekers at the border, helping them find safety in the United States. We focus specifically on asylum seekers who are particularly vulnerable due to disabilities, severe medical issues requiring immediate attention, pregnancy, and/or LGBTQ status.
-Fight for Racial Justice. L4GG’s Lawyers for Racial Justice program conducts ongoing research and develops model policies to identify and directly address ways in which the government is perpetuating systemic racism. Current issue areas of focus include child agricultural labor, police in schools, voting rights, and expungement.
-Fight Global Warming. L4GG’s Climate Change program has worked with 42 municipalities in 24 states, providing legal guidance to assist them in transitioning to 100% renewable energy and decreasing their CO2 emissions.
