Mercy Housing

Mission Statement

Mercy Housing is working to eliminate homelessness and housing insecurity for low-income families, seniors, individuals and people with special needs by creating healthy sustainable communities where every person has a place to call home.

As the nation’s largest nonprofit affordable housing organization Mercy Housing has participated in the development, preservation, and/or financing of 58,000 affordable homes in more than 42 states over the last 40 years. We own and manage 350 properties with over 25,000 homes serving more than 45,000 residents. On top of providing safe, affordable homes for those in need, Mercy Housing also provides essential services to support residents achieving stability and overcoming barriers that include, but are not limited to, financial literacy classes, health and wellness, career assistance, and out-of-school programming.

Why Donate to Mercy Housing?

When you donate to Mercy Housing, you become a partner with us as lives and neighborhoods are transformed through affordable housing and supportive programs. Your gift will help families in need – those with special needs, seniors, and give new hope to those experiencing homelessness. Far too many Americans are struggling to get by and often put their health and safety at risk just to keep a roof over their heads. With skyrocketing rent and increased homelessness across the country, the most vulnerable families, seniors and individuals continue to turn to Mercy Housing for support. Our mission is to create stable, vibrant, and healthy communities by developing, financing, and operating affordable, program-enriched housing for families, seniors, and people with special needs who lack the economic resources to access quality, safe housing opportunities. We are committed to not only creating affordable homes, but inspiring dreams as we work with residents and partners to establish engaged, strong, and inclusive communities. Your gift can bring hope and peace of mind to those who are living in fear of becoming homeless.
