Mission Statement
Museum of the Moving Image advances the understanding, enjoyment, and appreciation of the art, history, technique, and technology of film, television, and digital media by presenting exhibitions, education programs, significant moving-image works, and interpretive programs, and collecting and preserving moving-image related artifacts.Â

MoMI is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that for more than 30 years has been dedicated to celebrating and providing valuable history and context to the moving image, the most ubiquitous media of our time. Every donation we receive directly supports these efforts and helps to provide media education for over 70,000 students and teachers annually, many of whom are from Title I schools.
