Mission Statement
Our mission at NVHS is to end veteran homelessness in Central Florida. We are committed to finding and assisting homeless and at-risk veterans and their families through our outreach programs, providing them with the essential resources and support needed to regain stability and self-sufficiency. We strive to ensure that no veteran is left behind, and we work tirelessly to create a community where every veteran has a place to call home.

Search and Rescue: Reached 373 veterans and 123 family members with basic needs, housing connections, and benefits—preventing homelessness for 102 veteran families.
Transitional Housing: Provided safe shelter and supportive services to 15 veterans and their families, helping them move toward independence.
Holiday Outreach: Delivered 318 Thanksgiving meals and brought holiday cheer to 75 veterans and their families through our Christmas event, including gift bags, gift cards, and emergency hotel stays.
These efforts are working. While overall homelessness in Brevard County rose by 2%, veteran homelessness dropped by 14%. Since 2008, NVHS has helped reduce veteran homelessness in our community by 90%—from 1,800 to fewer than 200.
We are proud stewards of your support, maintaining a 92% program ratio, a Platinum rating from GuideStar, and a Four-Star rating from Charity Navigator.
