Native American Veterans Assistance
Native American Veterans Assistance
Mission Statement
Native American Veterans Assistance (NAVA) offers resources such as food, firewood, energy assistance and household goods to Native American Veterans living on the most impoverished reservations across Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Nebraska. Our mission is to help Native Veterans through a network of agencies and programs as well as provide opportunities for self-sufficiency.
Why Donate to Native American Veterans Assistance?
NAVA serves Native American veterans and their families in many of the poorest counties in the USA. The veterans we serve live in poverty-stricken communities on rural and remote reservations across South Dakota, North Dakota, Nebraska, Wyoming, and Montana. Despite the historical oppression of this community, Native Americans serve in the armed forces at a higher rate than any other demographic. Yet these veterans return from duty to deplorable living conditions on reservations that are drastically underserved. The Native American veterans we serve face food insecurity, inadequate physical security, limited access to resources, and alarmingly high rates of suicide. Your contribution to Native American Veterans Assistance enables us to provide assistance to these forgotten veterans.
