To improve the lives of the millions of cats living on our streets and support the compassionate people caring for them.
Why Donate to Neighborhood Cats?
They live in our backyards, alleyways, factories and other hidden places. Often they can only be seen after dark or when they come out to eat. Many are feral and keep their distance. Because they’re wary, some people think they’re different from other cats. But they’re not. Like the cats who share our homes, feral and stray cats need food, shelter, veterinary care and, yes, love. Yet too often they’re forgotten and their needs left unmet. At Neighborhood Cats, we’re changing that.
We spay and neuter thousands of cats through our hands-on programs in New York City, Jersey City and Maui. We assist caretakers of the cats with funding for costly veterinary treatment, food and disaster relief. Our online training workshops draw a global audience while our award-winning books and videos are among the leading educational materials in our field. We design new equipment, speak at conferences, offer scholarships for veterinarians to learn advanced spay/neuter techniques and consult on new programs launched overseas. Through all these efforts, our vision remains laser-focused – we’re here to help the cats on our streets and those who care for them.
