Orbis transforms lives through the treatment and prevention of blindness and visual impairment. With our network of partners we mentor, train, and inspire local teams to fight blindness in their communities. We believe that no one should live a life of unnecessary blindness simply because of where they were born.
Why Donate to Orbis International?
338 million children and adults are blind or visually impaired. Most don't have to be. 77% of cases could be treated, cured, or prevented -- and mostly with common remedies like routine surgeries and laser treatments, medications, and eyeglasses. The problem is that nearly 90% of those affected live in low- or middle-income countries where access to eye care is extremely limited or even non-existent. Orbis will gratefully put your donation to good use training local eye health teams and bringing the gift of sight to children and adults around the world.
