Shelter Transport Animal Rescue Team aka START Rescue, is a PLATINUM RATED Charity on Guidestar. We have few employees and are powered by passionate and dedicated volunteers since 2011. Every month, START transports at risk dogs and cats from California’s overcrowded shelters, the streets of Mexico and Asia to to our partners in the Pacific Northwest. This is a huge task with many steps to get our four-legged passengers to safety. Since 2011 we have saved over 16,000 lives. In addition, to date, START has funded over 11,000 Spay/Neuter surgeries and with your support, we continue to increase this number.Â
