Texas Suicide Prevention Collaborative

Mission Statement

We build, strengthen and support communities to ensure Texas is suicide safer for everyone. Through outreach, education, technical assistance, training and collaboration, local communities and statewide partners work together to build a suicide safer Texas.

Why Donate to Texas Suicide Prevention Collaborative ?

We lose a Texan to suicide every 2 hours to suicide. Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death among ages 10-34. Yet, nearly 2/3 of communities report not having enough mental health resources to support the need. That places incredible burden on communities to develop pathways to care and triage mental health supports inside the community itself. In schools. In faith-communities. In Veteran organizations. In law enforcement and other first responders. In Emergency Departments. Are are no dedicated or allocated funds for suicide prevention outside of the public mental health system, yet we know most people with mental health concerns never touch the public system. The funds generated through your generosity changes that. It allows us the resources, time and staff to nurture and grow evidence based programs, processes, data capture and more to ensure we are working collectively to make Texas suicide safer.
