The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation
Mission Statement
The Andrew McDonough B+ (Be Positive) Foundation honors the life of Andrew McDonough. Andrew battled leukemia, septic shock and complications of childhood cancer for 167 days before passing away on July 14, 2007, at the age of 14. Andrew’s B+ blood type became his family’s and friends’ motto throughout his fight against childhood cancer – to “Be Positive”. The B+ Foundation is about Kids Helping Kids Fight Cancer. With the support of many, we are the largest provider of financial assistance to families of kids with cancer in the United States. We are also a lead funder in global childhood cancer research.
Why Donate to The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation?
Through The B+ Family Assistance Program, we are the largest provider of financial assistance to families of kids with cancer in the United States, helping nearly 3,000 families every year. We have also proudly provided funding to over 150 critical, cutting-edge childhood cancer research projects at top institutions across the globe, including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Seattle Children’s Hospital, and dozens more. In 2021, we provided $2.65 million in direct family assistance and $1.75 million in research grants, and this year we plan to provide even more! Your donation of crypto will allow us to provide more hope and healing to families plagued by childhood cancer.
