The founder and current Chair of the non-profit, Julia Guth, took advantage early on of Coinbase’s refer-a-friend incentive. The company (https://www.coinbase.com/join/guth_8s) gives $10 in bitcoin to its account holders for every new contact referral, so Julia set up an account for the clinic and used it to refer her friends and colleagues in the financial world to Coinbase. She also asked them to include a referral link to the non-profit’s account whenever they publicly recommend using Coinbase to trade crypto.
