Mission Statement
Third Millennium Alliance (TMA) is dedicated to protecting and regenerating the most threatened tropical forest on Earth in collaboration with local communities. Working in the last remnants of Ecuador's coastal forest we promote a culture in which communities recognize both the practical and intrinsic benefits of forest stewardship and help them gain the capacity to manage the land accordingly. Our primary tools used to achieve this goal are land purchase and regenerative cacao agroforestry.
Why Donate to Third Millennium Alliance ?
Coastal Ecuador has lost 98% of its forest in the past two generations due to unsustainable land management practices (i.e. slash & burn agriculture). The leading driver of this deforestation is the lack of education and economic opportunities available to rural agricultural communities. In line with the core values of the cryptocurrency sector, our project aims to provide economic support and freedom to a marginalized population in order to IMPROVE LIVELIHOODS and STOP DEFORESTATION in its tracks. Today, the donation of 1 bitcoin has the potential to improve the health and wellbeing of 12 families and regenerate 30 acres of tropical rainforest!
