Ugandan Water Project
Mission Statement
The Ugandan Water Project is a non-profit humanitarian organization working through YOU to provide safe and accessible drinking water and other catalyst WASH resources to communities in Uganda. We implement relational solutions that help Ugandans sustainably pull themselves out of poverty so they can live the lives they were created for.
Why Donate to Ugandan Water Project?
As Uganda faces the growing impact of COVID-19, their limited healthcare and education system is struggling to meet the needs of residence. The Ugandan Water Project has identified critical water, sanitation and hygiene gaps for the 106 health clinics in Wakiso district – home to 2 million residents. Your donation will provide rainwater harvesting systems, handwashing facilities, and water filter stations for clinics that represent the first line of defense for COVID-19. Additionally, education breaks the cycle of poverty and yet Ugandan schools are struggling to meet government requirements to provide safe water, and proper hand-washing facilities in order to allow students to return. We have 172 schools across Uganda that have been assessed and are ready and waiting for a partner. Your donation will also allow the Ugandan Water Project to provide critical projects that will equip these schools to reopen and support students long after this global pandemic is overcome. UWP completes most projects within 60 days from receiving funds and provides GPS, photos, and an impact report to donors connected to each project.
