Mission Statement
Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC) is the leading global charity dedicated to the conservation and protection of whales and dolphins. Our vision is a world where every whale and dolphin is safe and free.
We work globally and locally with offices based in the UK, the US, and Germany and defend these remarkable creatures against the many threats they face through campaigns, lobbying, advising governments, conservation projects, field research and rescue.

Human impact has taken a devastating toll on the ocean, reducing some whale populations by up to 99% in just two centuries and disrupting vital ecosystems that sustain life on Earth. The future of our planet relies on a healthy ocean, and a healthy ocean needs whales.
Your donation will support our team to deliver impact across three key areas of conservation:
🌊 Creating Safer Seas: We work to create safer seas, free from the threat of pollution, collisions with vessels, and accidental entanglement in fishing gear.
🐳 Ending Hunting and Captivity: We highlight issues and encourage discussion and changes in behaviour to end the cruelty deliberately caused through activities such as whaling and captivity.
💙 Value and Rights: We work towards protecting whales and dolphins by winning recognition for them as sentient, socially complex beings, and our allies in the fight against climate and nature breakdown.
