Mission Statement
World Animal Protection is a global organization on a mission to change the way the world works to end animal cruelty and suffering. Forever.
Science proves that animals are sentient beings with thoughts, feelings, and individual personalities. Yet all over the world people, corporations and, politicians treat animals as if that is not the case. This has got to stop – and we have dedicated our efforts to do just that.
We won’t stop until there are no bears in captivity. Until there are no elephants performing. Until there are no marine mammals held captive in tanks. Until there are no animals suffering in factory farming. In short: Until we end the exploitation of animals all around us.
Does it sound like a gigantic task? It is! But with the help of our supporters from all over the world we have shown time and again that when people use their power to work together to influence and inspire, change for animals is possible.Â

Every day tens of thousands of wild animals are experiencing unbelievable cruelty. Elephants, bears, tigers, dolphins, and many other species are torn from the wild or bred in captivity under horrendous conditions, all for the sake of entertaining tourists. Many are beaten, chained, and starved.
Most tourists love wild animals, but don’t know about the stress and suffering these animals endure when they are used for rides, photo props in selfies, or shows.
Your crypto donation helps us rescue and protect wild animals from exploitation and abuse and makes it possible for them to live a natural life in the wild where they belong.
-With your help, we can feed and care for elephants and bears who have been rescued from captivity and are now living a safe life in protected sanctuaries.
-You can help us convince some of the biggest players in the travel industry to stop promoting and selling tickets to cruel wildlife attractions.
-Together, we can put pressure on governments and authorities to change legislation so that wildlife entertainment will be banned, and animals will be protected in the wild.
We are a global organization with offices in 12 countries and activities in close to 50 countries all over the world. We are the only animal welfare organization to be awarded the UN’s general consultative status, and we have advised governments around the globe on animal welfare. For more than 70 years we’ve been protecting animals from needless suffering – and with your help we can continue to do so.Â
