Mission Statement
Yad Ezra V’Shulamit feeds hungry children and families in Israel. Our goal is to make sure children and families have enough to eat and have their basic needs met so they can fulfill their potential.
Why Donate to Yad Ezra V’Shulamit?
Yad Ezra V’Shulamit provides food for over 100,000 people in Israel. We feed 500 children a daily hot lunch. In addition, 100 children receive help with their homework and a chance to break out of poverty. Through our Children’s Centers, we provide these kids with tutoring, new school supplies, school bags, new coats, boots, sweaters, heaters, blankets, trips, outings, and a free summer camp for those who would otherwise simply do without these basics. We also distribute over 10,000 weekly food baskets throughout the country in 47 cities and 80 distribution points. Our motto is “poverty doesn’t discriminate – neither do we” as we help all types in Israeli society. We recently increased our distribution of food baskets to 10,000 from 3,500 due to the Covid virus and the skyrocketing demand for basic food supplies. We also distribute baby formula to mothers who can’t afford to feed their babies.
