Now accepting Bonk Popcat, and Optimism | The Giving Block

The Giving Block Adds Support for Bonk (BONK), Popcat (POPCAT) & Optimism (OP) Tokens

The Giving Block is excited to announce that we’re adding support for Bonk (BONK), Popcat (POPCAT) and Optimism (OP) in our Donation Form and fundraising platform. Bonk, Popcat and Optimism joins a growing list of cryptocurrencies that nonprofits can accept with the fundraising tools and services powered by The Giving Block.

BONK | The Giving Block

Bonk (BONK)

Meet BONK—the first dog-themed token on the Solana blockchain that’s all about community. Launched in December 2022 with the tagline “for the people, by the people,” BONK was created to breathe new life into Solana-based decentralized exchanges (DEXs) and foster a fully community-driven ecosystem. By airdropping 50% of its total supply directly to the Solana community, BONK is empowering users to become an active part of Solana’s growth story.

Popcat (POPCAT) | The Giving Block

Popcat (POPCAT)

Popcat is a meme-inspired, community-powered token born from the viral “Popcat” meme that took the internet by storm in October 2020. Centered around the beloved cat Oatmeal, famous for its “O-shaped” mouth, Popcat quickly became an iconic internet sensation.

Optimism (OP) | The Giving Block

Optimism (OP)

Optimism is a layer-2 scaling solution built to make Ethereum faster and more affordable, all while benefiting from Ethereum’s strong security foundation. At the heart of Optimism’s ecosystem is the OP token, designed to empower users through decentralized governance. OP holders play an active role in shaping the network, supporting its growth, and ensuring it remains a powerful, community-driven platform for Ethereum scaling.

We’re excited to be adding new cryptocurrencies because it gives donors more flexibility in the way they donate. We recognize that converting from one crypto to another can be a taxable event in many countries, so we want to offer flexibility to accept other tokens directly.
