A veteran non-profit is embracing the crypto community to fight Brazil’s forest fires. The number of forest fires and amount of deforestation in the Brazilian Amazon has increased dramatically compared with previous years.
The Rainforest Foundation announced the launch of a new campaign to protect the Brazilian Amazon rainforest, and is reaching out to the cryptocurrency community for support. The Foundation is looking for crypto communities to sponsor Foundation projects and raise awareness, in addition to donating crypto.

Cryptocurrency and blockchain technology are increasingly being applied to support a wide array of charitable organizations. The Foundation is working on this project with The Giving Block, a consulting firm which equips organizations with the tools to accept bitcoin (and other cryptocurrency) donations.
As of now, the Foundation accepts cryptocurrency donations in Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH).
