Mission Statement

In a polarizing world, Abara inspires connections across divides through proximity, education, and engagement. Abara is focused on accomplishing our mission by focusing on three Core Areas of Action: 1) Border Encounters: 3-5 Day educational experiences training leaders, faith groups, and national networks through reflection and action 2) Border Response: Resourcing and connecting migrant shelters on both sides of the Rio Grande 3) Abara House: Gathering at Historic Hacienda Restaurant to listen, lament, celebrate, and engage across divides
