Smallholder farmers are at the heart of restoring our landscapes. Through MyFarmTrees, farmers across western Kenya are planting native trees on their land — improving soil, protecting crops, and creating new sources of food and income for their families. By supporting farmers to plant the right trees in the right places, we are helping to rebuild resilient farming systems while restoring degraded land — one tree, one farm, one future at a time. From the International Day of Forests to the end of June 2026, we are seeking to raise $25,000 — enough to support 500 farmers to plant 10,000 trees across Siaya, Kisumu, and Vihiga counties in Kenya.
Your donation goes directly to farmers, enabling them to plant and care for trees on their land. 85% supports farmers in local communities, while 15% funds the platform that tracks, verifies, and scales the impact. Each tree is carefully selected for the local environment and digitally tracked from seed to canopy using blockchain technology, with farmers paid directly via mobile money. This ensures transparency, accountability, and a lasting connection between your donation and its impact. $50 plants 20 trees, helping to restore landscapes, strengthen climate resilience, and secure livelihoods through farming. You will also be able to follow the impact of your donation over time — from seed to tree — when you visit myfarmtrees.org. MyFarmTrees is an initiative of The Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT, a global CGIAR research centre, supported by Bioversity International USA, its charitable arm.
