Center for Human Rights in Iran
Mission Statement
The Center for Human Rights in Iran (CHRI) is an independent, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization working to protect and promote human rights in Iran. Headquartered in New York, CHRI is comprised of award-winning journalists, researchers, lawyers, activists, writers, multimedia specialists and advocates based around the world who work to support the basic rights and freedoms of the Iranian people.
Why Donate to Center for Human Rights in Iran?
By providing firsthand and accurate information channeled into articles, reports, videos and other products, engaging in extensive media outreach to spread this knowledge, and undertaking direct advocacy with decision makers around the globe, CHRI informs and draws attention to human rights violations in Iran. Through our extensive Farsi-language work and outreach, we work to expand the discussion of human rights in Iran, strengthening the ability of Iranian civil society to advance human rights. Only an informed international and Iranian community can effectively hold Iranian authorities accountable for their human rights violations.
