Why Donate to Count Basie Center for the Arts?
When you make a donation to the Count Basie Center for the Arts, you’re making an investment. You’re acting as an advocate for the arts. You are preserving this historic landmark. You are assuring the arts and arts education remain a vibrant part of our lives in central New Jersey.
Your gift helps sustain the Basie’s commitment to arts education. Each year, the Count Basie Center reaches tens of thousands of students through its work onsite and in classrooms, with one of the largest arts education programs in New Jersey.
Subsidized arts classes at partner schools reach more than 600 Abbott, Title I and other at-risk students, while their teachers are trained in arts integration through our affiliation with the Kennedy Center’s Partners in Education program, our collective impact initiative for schools in Monmouth and Ocean counties, and other organizations and projects.
