Elderly Housing Development and Operations Corporation

Mission Statement

At Elderly Housing Development and Operations Corporation ("EHDOC"), our mission—guided by the principle of ‘Housing with a Heart’— is to develop, manage, and preserve affordable independent living communities where seniors can thrive and age in place. We empower our residents to maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life within a compassionate, supportive health and wellness focused environment

Why Donate to Elderly Housing Development and Operations Corporation?

For low-income seniors residing in EHDOC communities, our properties are more than just a building — it is home and their community. We currently sponsor and manage 56 affordable senior housing communities including three communities under development, comprising over 4,400 apartments in 14 states, Washington, DC and Puerto Rico.

EHDOC strives to provide its residents with affordable housing and access to supportive health and social services, which allows them to live independently and with dignity. Today’s low-income seniors face escalating housing and living costs, limited access to healthcare and transportation, food insecurity, increased social isolation, and continued barriers to navigating benefits and public systems. Without stable housing paired with supportive services, seniors are at heightened risk for hospitalization, homelessness, or premature institutional care. Honoring their wisdom, their contributions to society, their years of service to family and community is our highest calling. Together we can make their “golden years” peaceful, stress free, and joyful, just like they deserve.

You can donate directly to EHDOC and allow us to use those funds in the area of greatest need or if you would prefer to donate directly to one of our ongoing senior campaigns, select one of the designations below.
