Mission Statement
Hearts & Homes for Refugees is a volunteer-driven nonprofit organization that resettles refugees in our communities and inspires, educates and equips others to do the same. We harness the power of volunteers and mobilize groups to support holistic refugee resettlement. Community Sponsors improve the long-term outcomes for refugees and change the lives of our new neighbors as well as the lives of volunteers and community partners who offer their time and resources.
Since 2016, we have been building a growing network of neighbors, community organizations, and faith, student and civic groups to offer safe and inclusive communities to our refugee neighbors and empower them to rebuild their lives with hope and dignity.

Like Cryptocurrency owners, we work in a space where our mission is having a profound impact in the most needed areas. This grassroots mobilization model is shifting the paradigm of refugee resettlement in our country.
Hearts & Homes for Refugees was an early adopter of cryptocurrency and understands its role in changing the world. We were one of the recipients of a Pineapple Fund grant in 2018. We align with those who believe in the power of thinking outside the box and empowering individuals. In the same way, HHR was also an early believer in and adopter of the model of community sponsored resettlement based on the firm conviction that harnessing the energy and power of grassroots communities could be a local solution to the global refugee crisis.
Where do we put your donations to work for refugees?
Crypto donors help us expand the network of volunteers and our capacity to say “Yes” to resettling more refugees who have been approved for resettlement. When starting life over in our care for up to 12 months, our new neighbors receive the basics of food and shelter. But our model goes beyond the basics. We offer support for English, a first job, mental health care, navigating the medical system, cultural orientations, community connections and more. We are the family and the network they left behind.
