Honey’s Mini Therapy Adventures
Honey’s Mini Therapy Adventures
Mission Statement
Our purpose is to use trained miniature therapy horses to enhance the quality of life of those we serve. Individuals of all ages and limitations with physical, cognitive, emotional and behavioral disabilities find comfort, empowerment, self-esteem, unconditional love, strength, therapeutic interaction & value while working with the miniature horses. Also, to train and provide mini horses as service animals to persons with above stated disabilities. Finally to educate the general public on the mental health benefits of visiting miniature horse pet therapy.
Our therapy horses visit Tampa General Hospital, AdventHealth Hospitals, BayCare Hospitals, Gulfside Hospice, Banyan Pediatric Daycare Centers, behavioral health facilities, hospitals, local schools, nursing homes, large college campuses like Saint Leo University, and University of Central Florida. They bring happiness, joy, and comfort by reducing stress, anxiety, and depression through their empathetic nature. Our therapy horses are inclusive to so many different populations, cultures, and ages that benefit from the unique service our handlers and tiny horses provide. These horses may be miniature, but their impact on the community we serve is tremendous.
