Mission Statement
Hope & Comfort collects and distributes the most basic hygiene products such as soap and toothpaste to support the health and confidence of children, families and adults within Massachusetts. In 2021 alone, Hope and Comfort distributed roughly 2,000,000 basic hygiene items including more than 1,250,000 bars of soap to more than 250 leading small and large non-profit and community partners such as schools, Boys and Girls Clubs, the YMCA, food pantries, homeless and domestic violence shelters and many more to keep tens of thousands of children, families and adults clean, healthy and confident.
Why Donate to Hope and Comfort, Inc.?
Hygiene products like soap and toothpaste are basic needs but unfortunately are expensive, food stamps do NOT cover them and there are few if any “hygiene banks” like there are food banks or pantries. There are roughly 1 million children and adults in MA alone and tens of millions of people all around the US who do not have regular access to the most simple and basic hygiene items. With a $25 donation, Hope and Comfort can supply one child or adult with basic hygiene products like soap and toothpaste for a year to help stay clean, healthy and confident and more prepared to live up to their full potential. A $500 donation can supply a classroom of 20 kids with basic hygiene products for a year and $10,000 can provide hygiene items for an entire school of 400 kids.
