Mission Statement
LGBTQ+ people are three times more likely to be jailed. At risk of abuse, many can’t afford bail. To secure their safety and liberty, we pay it and get them out.
We also work to build a critical mass against the mass detention of LGBTQ+ people — a tangle of discrimination and poverty fuels disproportionate incarceration rates.
We work as an advocacy, education and grantmaking outfit to mobilize the public and policymakers to address the disproportionate impact of incarceration on LGBTQ+ individuals in jail, prison and immigration detention.Â

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer people are overwhelmingly more likely to be imprisoned, a problem which is historically overlooked by donors, academics, politicians and the general public. With your support, we get our people out of detention by paying their bail and fight the mass incarceration of LGBTQ+ people with the public and critical stakeholders.Â
