Mission Statement

The Marine Megafauna Foundation is saving ocean giants from extinction. We work around the world, from Florida in the USA to Flores in Indonesia, to protect endangered marine wildlife. We undertake pioneering research to create effective conservation solutions, with specialist expertise on sharks, rays, and sea turtles. Headquartered in Mozambique, we have built world-leading global research and conservation programs on manta rays and whale sharks, and use our technical and practical experience to help mentor other conservation organizations, governments, and research institutions.
