Mission Statement
Morningday Community Solutions mitigates the significant environmental burden of retail waste by re-distributing essential products to local nonprofits for free or at a deep discount. Morningday's work enables millions of dollars each year to be invested back into vital community programs and keeps millions of pounds of waste out of our landfills. Since 2010, Morningday warehouses have helped more than 600 nonprofits in Miami Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties to save more than eight million dollars. More than 400 tons of product are diverted from landfills each year.
Why Donate to Morningday Community Solutions ?
Morningday partners with large retailers to acquire usable goods that would otherwise end up in the landfill due to return limitations, repackaging requirements, or distributor’s discretion. Those products go to an MCS warehouse, and are redistributed to our nonprofit members, typically at 70-80% less than their retail value. By serving as a gateway between the nonprofit and for-profit sectors, MCS creates a triple-win scenario whereby nonprofits save significantly on costs, retailers gain a tax benefit and save disposal costs, and landfill waste is reduced.
