Mission Statement
Mwana Villages is a grassroots organization in the Republic of Congo that provides refuge within orphanhood to vulnerable children and families. Our nontraditional model prioritizes family preservation and reunification wherein the cycle of orphanhood is broken.
Why Donate to Mwana Villages ?
"Ethical orphan care" means that there is also unethical orphan care. The dark reality is that traditional models of orphan care directly link to unethical practices wherein vulnerable women and children are exploited. Mwana Villages is a disruptive in its societal context and upholds a model of ethical, holistic orphan care.
