The National Center for Victims of Crime is dedicated to serving individuals, families, and communities harmed by crime. We believe that a society that prioritizes the safety and healing of communities, responds to the needs of all individuals harmed by crime, promotes victims’ rights, and engages in advocacy for systems change is able to reduce the crime and its impact on victims and their families.
The National Center for Victims of Crime is a social justice nonprofit dedicated to victims of all crimes and their communities. For more than thirty five years, we've innovated ways to make victim services more accessible and effective. We train crime responders to be proactive, culturally competent, and trauma-informed. This includes not only law enforcement, but elected officials, policymakers, business leaders, judges, media representatives, educators, and healthcare providers. We also understand that effective justice doesn’t treat a victim in isolation, but attends to the broad scope of impact of a violent crime. Our programs and public action campaigns help equip members across communities to manage the ramifications of crime. We believe all those affected should have the means to cope in the aftermath of violence, and our goal is to help them move forward. Too often the needs of victims are left unmet, and their trauma extends to their family, friends, and communities. If we understand victimization as a public issue, we can create a safer, more compassionate future. Your 100% tax-deductible gift will ensure that victims of all crimes have a network of support to rebuild their lives.
