Mission Statement

The Coastal Land Trust conserves lands with scenic, recreational, historic and/or ecological value in the Coastal Plain of North Carolina. Our mission is to enrich the coastal communities of our state through conservation of natural areas and working landscapes, education, and the promotion of good land stewardship. we're saving the places you love in coastal North Carolina. We protect lands and waterways where you hike, paddle, swim, play and make memories with your family. We are your local Land Trust, and as a nonprofit organization, your donations, time, energy and ideas will make a difference right here in eastern North Carolina — helping to meet the challenges of protecting the rich natural heritage of the coast for today and for future generations.
