Mission Statement
Over and Above Africa was created to protect and defend endangered wildlife in Africa, and support the communities they impact.
Now in its ninth year, Over and Above Africa is an all-volunteer, 501c3 organization, founded by filmmaker, Kerry David as a call-to-action initiative after learning about the total devastation commercial poaching and the human/animal conflict (population growth pushing animals into smaller and smaller areas forcing often lethal confrontations) was having on Africa’s vulnerable and endangered wildlife. She felt compelled to act.
Over and Above Africa films each project they fund for full transparency. This is something that empowers donors and members to share each video with friends and family, furthering the messaging that these animals and communities need support.

As an animal advocate, Kerry had no idea how dire the situation had become in Africa an was struck by the idea that raising global funds through a combination of donor assistance, micro financing, cryptocurrency, and DAF’s could be a wonderful way to support the people and organizations she had met while researching in Africa and learning about the actual critical needs on the ground.
When you donate to Over and Above Africa, your generous support is allocated to the most pressing initiatives being serviced at that time. Currently the organization is in the process of finishing their first, state of the art Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in South Africa and raising funds for its second.
In offering several options to support the organization, they hope it makes the process of supporting them as easy as possible, whatever your currency!
