Our mission is RAD – Rising Above Disabilities! We offer awesome programs and camps for adults and children with developmental disabilities, much-deserved respite for their caregivers, and a life-changing volunteer experience for the local community.
Why Donate to RAD Camp ?
For more than 10 years later, RAD Camp has hosted the largest and most affordable overnight summer camps for individuals with developmental disabilities in California, welcoming over 800 volunteers and more than 200 campers with open arms! Offering 11 different programs including art, drama, American Sign Language, and science, and nightly events like concerts, talent shows, and dances, RAD received recognition as the Best Overnight Camp for Individuals with Disabilities in Orange County by Parenting Magazine! Going into this new decade of RAD, we’re getting bigger and better! We will host 3 RAD CAMP SESSIONS IN 2025 AND BEYOND! As a predominately volunteer run organization, we need YOUR SUPPORT to keep RAD as affordable and accessible to families. While the actual cost per camper for the week is $3,700, RAD covers 80% of the cost which includes 24-hour on-site medical care, three meals a day plus snack time, special diet accommodations, RAD Swag (including themed T-shirts, water bottles, and backpacks), daily programs and activities, nightly team-building exercises, housing and security. We ensure that financial constraints don't hinder families from joining by covering the full amount if a camper cannot give the requested fee.
